The Temple of Stilled Time

Mahogany and brass,
the hands long stilled
and yet
it’s right twice a day.

it reminds of times
grown as hazy as the faces
in those faded photographs.

Kaleidoscopic moments
shimmer like smiles.
Dried twigs bloom again.
The legacy lives.

  1. Thank you Francina…Did you read Craig’s short short that inspired it? It’s featured at
the Pub.I think he is going to flesh it out into a novella. I hope you will leave him a comment of encouragement when time allows. Thank you for spending time with my work. It means the world to me. Sarah
